INSTRUCTOR PREPARATION COURSE (OPTIONAL) F$650
The IPC gives candidates a chance to brush up on dive theory topics such as Physics, Physiology, Skills and Environment, RDPs, and Equipment. NB these topics are examined during the IE but are not taught during the IDC. There is also the opportunity to practice skill and rescue demonstrations as well as an introduction to teaching PADI courses. Preparation is the key to success in becoming a diving instructor. Completing an IPC is an excellent way to ensure that you are well prepared to be successful in the IDC and IE.

INSTRUCTOR DEVELOPMENT COURSE F$1850
May 19th to 27th & September 12th to 20th For PADI Divemasters or leadership level members of other organization wishing to become PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors. (Some Assistant Instructors who feel they need extra preparation for the IE may elect to take the full IDC.)

The IDC not only teaches you how to conduct PADI Courses and Programs, but also includes vital information on the ‘Business of Diving’ to ensure your success in the diving industry after certification.

The IDC can be completed as a 9-day program or can be split into two sections, The Assistant Instructor Course (4 days) and the OWSI Course (5 days). See below for details.

ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR F$850
For PADI Divemasters, or equivalent, wishing to gain some teaching experience. The course contains information on teaching Knowledge Development, Confined and Open Water presentations. Also covered are teaching Peak Performance Buoyancy and Project AWARE Specialty Courses and Discover Scuba and Snorkeling Programs. The AI course is an excellent preparation for the OWSI Program.

OWSI PROGRAM F$1250
For PADI Assistant Instructors, or Instructors from other organizations, wishing to become PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors. The OWSI program is designed to prepare candidates to teach PADI courses up to and including Divemaster. It also includes information on the business and marketing aspects of the dive industry, to prepare candidates for a successful career in the diving industry.

CAREER PREPARATION PACKAGE
The ideal package for those wanting to launch a successful career in the diving industry: Advanced Open Water, Rescue, Divemaster, Emergency First Responder and DAN 02 Provider.

May 29th to 31st & September 22nd to 24th The final stage in becoming a PADI Instructor is the 2 day Instructor Examination Program, conducted by the PADI Asia Pacific Examiner. Candidates are evaluated on their knowledge of dive theory and PADI standards as well as their ability to teach PADI courses.
